Origin360 Safety Camera Database

All Pogo products benefit from being pre-loaded with the award winning Origin360 safety camera database at the time of purchase

Quality assured database

GPS-based safety camera location systems are only as good as the location data stored within them. In order to fully rely on your safety camera location system you need to ensure you buy the best one available, loaded with the best camera database; you need to buy a Pogo Alert+.

Origin Technologies Limited, manufacturer of Pogo Alert+, has been compiling its UK safety camera database for longer than any other company – since March 2000, in fact.

Origin is the pioneering company in GPS-based safety camera location, so it’s no surprise that the Origin360 database leads the way in accuracy and consistency. The Origin360 data collection team consists of mobile ‘field’ based staff together with trained administrators based at Origin’s London HQ.

The speed at which the Origin360 team works is impressive. For instance, the target for adding new camera sites to the database is just 24 hours; however, many new camera sites are made live within the Origin360 database to coincide with the camera site going live.

Even when temporary cameras are installed in stretches of motorway roadworks, the Origin360 team will survey them immediately. Often, of course, temporary cameras move as roadworks move, but the Origin360 data collection team will constantly monitor roadwork sites and update them whenever necessary – sometimes daily.

The Origin360 database includes the most comprehensive number of locations and camera types available, including Gatso, Truvelo, SPECS average speed cameras, Watchman, DS2, Speedcurb and PEEK, together with known accident blackspot zones. The database includes speed limit data at all locations. Time sensitive alerts are also provided for schools and congestion charging zones.

The Origin360 database currently covers the UK, Republic of Ireland, France, Belgium, Holland, Spain and Portugal. Other countries will be added during 2010-2011.
